Subject	Unknown soleniod is it important or can i tear it out?

Message	hey guys can someone tell me what this thing is for? im not sure if this is a general question or technical so mods can feel free to move it... its got two vacuum hoses coming out of them(i say vacuum but i don't know for sure weather they blow air or suck) One of them is not even connected to anything and that one is the one that goes into the car through the fire wall.....i take that back i just checked both of them arnt connected to anything. They both hook up and look like they go to the solenoid pictured....maybe something that goes to the AIV?? I deleted all that stuff awhile back.... the split where the one that isn't connecting to the solenoid goes the one that splits and goes into the car ends just shortly after it goes into the engine bay...but this one is connected to the solenoid.... alls i want to know is if i can tear it out without trouble...and what its for would be nice too thanks ---Joe
